Students in Mrs. Griffith’s Kindergarten classroom at Pineville Elementary School are flocking into spring time by learning about animals and life cycles. Students began their first study on chickens. On day one each student picked out an egg and placed them into an incubator. Each day students are examining the eggs, adding water to the incubator when needed, recording the humidity and temperature, and documenting any changes they see. On Monday March 7th, Pineville Elementary student Brystol Ellis placed 1st in the West Virginia Science & Engineering Fair that was held at the Charleston Coliseum. Students from all over the state competed in the fair. Brystol represented Wyoming County and placed 1st in the 3rd-5th Division 1 Biology C category.
