Cody Whitt, a student in the Pre-Engineering Program at the Wyoming County Career and Technical Center is using Inventor CADD software and a micrometer to reverse engineer a part for his car that is no longer produced. The plan is to take the digital prototype to a 3D printer until the required fit and tolerances are met through revisions. The final model will then be 3D printed using high end liquid resin in a process known
as stereolithography.👏🏼

Students in the Drafting/CADD Program and the Pre-Engineering Program at the Wyoming County Career and Technical Center made WCCTC Christmas Tree Ornaments. They used parametric modeling software to create different ornament designs and then selected the best 3D model. Next, students made changes to the design in order to make it easier to print. Finally, they used a slicing software to create a printable file of the design. Each ornament took about two hours to print due to the amount of detail in the logo.🎄❤️
